Introduction to Sailing for Adults
New Adult Membership Programme 2026
Mullingar Sailing Club is seeking to recruit new members for the 2026 season through our New Adult Membership Programme.
Programme Overview
This programme offers a structured introduction to sailing in a supportive and social environment. It is suitable for complete beginners as well as those with some previous experience who wish to develop their skills further.
Training Schedule
New members will be invited to participate in scheduled training sessions taking place over:
Getting Involved
Participants will be encouraged to take part in regular club sailing activities on Lough Owel throughout the season. There will also be opportunities to crew with existing members, helping to build experience and confidence on the water.
This pathway supports progression towards helming your own boat, or continuing to crew if preferred. A limited number of club boats may be available for lease or hire once a suitable level of proficiency has been reached.
Fees
The programme fee is €200 per person, which includes:
Experience Required
No previous sailing experience is necessary. The programme is designed to allow participants to progress at their own level and pace.
Important Information
Sailing is a weather-dependent sport. While every effort will be made to deliver all scheduled sessions, Mullingar Sailing Club cannot be held responsible for time lost due to adverse conditions. Where possible, affected sessions will be rescheduled.

- Saturday & Sunday, 13–14 June
