Welcome to Mullingar Sailing Club, located on the shore of Lough Owel.

Our aim is to promote fun sailing in a safe environment, teach sailing to all age groups and levels and run structured races for those who relish close competition. As an approved ISA Training Centre we run various courses throughout the season. Come and enjoy the experience of sailing.

Club Sailing

The club boat of choice for our adult sailors is the GP14. Sailed by two people with main, genoa and spinnaker sails. For our junior sailors, the club boat of choice is the Mirror, sailed by two people with mainsail, jib and spinnaker. Racing takes place Wednesday evenings and Sunday afternoons. If members prefer to sail at their own pace that is fine too. We provide safety boat cover at these times.

Mullingar Sailing Club is seeking a Senior Instructor and Advanced Instructor to help run its 2026 junior courses (29 Jun – 24 Jul). Come and join a safe and fun team with great facilities on Lough Owel. Free accommodation provided. More details.
