Adult Sailing.

The Club boat of choice for our adult sailors is the GP14. Sailed by two people with main, genoa and spinnaker sails. 

GP14 Racing

Racing takes place Wednesday evenings and Sunday afternoons. If you prefer to sail at your own pace that is fine too. We provide safety boat cover at these times. Some club boats may be available.

The GP14 Association of Ireland also run a series of regattas at Sailing Clubs throughout Ireland.
The Club boat of choice for our Junior sailors is the Mirror. Sailed by two people with mainsail, jib and spinnaker.

Training Courses

'Introduction to Sailing' course for adults takes place each year at Mullingar Sailing Club. Delivered by ISA trained instructors.​

The 2022 course will take place over 2 weekends (4-5 & 11-12) in June.

​This Introduction to Sailing course takes you through all the basics of learning to sail a dinghy, from helming, crewing and explanation of the rules that apply when sailing.
COST
The cost of this course is €200 per participant. This cost includes membership of Mullingar Sailing Club until 1st May of the following year. We encourage everyone to get involved in sailing for the rest of the season and continue the experience.
